Hey everyone! Well, the day is almost here. I've changed my date 3 times. I finally stuck to July 16th. By Sunday I would have done 3100 questions from Saunders CD, and I went through the entire book in a span of 3 months. My weakness is Peds. so I will work on that a little more. My scores have been 68-86%. Any last minute thoughts or perhaps I should say last words if I fail, because I'm convinced that I may not leave the house for weeks if I do.

I test on the 12th. I was feeling really confident until about two days ago. Now all of a sudden I am freaking out. I have been getting 65-90% on the practice tests in Saunders (probably averaging a %75) and I feel like I should be doing better

I changed my date from today to July 15 because I was tooooo stressed and I went to the beach which I think helped my stress a LITTLE. I have been doing Kaplan and before that was doing Saunders 4th. Kaplan grades are averaging around 60% but I am not going to stress over the numbers. # fellow classmates have taken the test and passed and they did not do as many questions as I have been doing. But I am not a good test taker so we will see. If I fail it I will have to become a aide at the hospital I was hired at and then I will do Suzannes plan.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US

i'm testing on tuesday, july 15 8:00 am in fresno! i moved it from the 7th coz i feel like i needed more time, i'm really happy about my decision moving it..i'm doing kaplan question trainer, getting scores from 65-69%, i did the qt 7 yesterday and only got 66%, i'm not happy about that score but i learned that a lot passed as long as you're hitting at least 60%.. it was so draining doing the 265 qt7, so from the advise of one here who just took the nclex and passed, i decided that on the day of the exam, i will take a break every hour, even just for 5-10 mins.. i also use saunder's, i love the rationale and the way they explain it..i also really like prioritization, delegation & assignment by la charity...
one thing i find so helpful in answering questions is writing in a piece of paper numbers 1-4 and crossing out the obviously wrong choice, it works like magic for me! i know that in the real exam, it will be harder to recognize which one is the correct answer, but seeing the number crossed out literally is better, avoiding waste of time in reading the 4 choices again...
i'm brushing up on infection control and prioritization and delegation...
goodluck to all of us! mild anxiety is good, makes us sharp, but let's not allow it paralyze us! let's be positive and excited about it! we graduated from nursing which means that we have the knowledge with us, and we reviewed and prepared hard! we might feel like there's still a lot to know, but remember, we're not supposed to know everything! we just need to prove them that we are "safe" nurses! we can do it!!! :hrnsmlys:
I know what you mean. I'm going to Six Flags this weekend, I hope it helps my stress! I'm already sick of doing questions.

Add me to the group now, too! I just moved my date up. Originally i was going to take it on tues the 22nd, but i moved it up to friday the 18th. I have 2300 questions done so far, and today was my last day of work, so ill have even more time to devote to studying. Ive been using lippincott, saunders, nclex made easy q&a and nclex 3500. my averages vary from 64-80s% depending on the source.
Good luck everyone!!!
