Anybody know anything about Medical Express?

A few weeks ago I was contacted by a travel agency called Medical Express. They have offered some incredible options, and I am seriously considering taking them. The man I talked to identified the agency as travel, which I am not prepared to do due to a new husband that I am crazy about, as well as horses I don't want to leave for months at a time. They immediately offered amazing packages for hospitals close to me so that I could be paid as a traveler, but live at home and have part of my mortgage paid in lieu of them providing housing for me.

Has anyone here heard of this agency? How reliable are they? The people I talked to were very optimistic, positive people. I have no idea how they obtained my name and phone number, but as I have unexpectedly left a job I used to love, I gave in to curiosity and called them back.

This all sounds really great, almost too good to be true, and I hoped to see if anyone out there knows anything about these folks that I should know before I sign on with them.

Thanks in advance,

Christen

yes, i did a 26 week asignment with them. good pay. housing. and even rec'd 2 bonuses. i traveled and my husband was at home. now he travels and i am at home. if i ever do this again, medical express is who i will go with.

I did two assignments with medical express. To be honest, I'm surprised they are offereing you amazing packages. Check with other travel companies in the area to see what they are offering, usually ME is the low ball. ESPECIALLY when they first quote housing subsidy. The insurance wasn't that great-- if you don't need it, ask for the pay difference. My checks were ALWAYS correct and on time. There contract wasn't long and wordy (is that a word..haha). I was knew to traveling and my recruiter knew it, so I caution you with that. Once I became more educated in traveling, I liked how they always delivered on what they promised. You will have to negociate and stand your ground to get what is fair for the area, but I didn't have a problem when they agreed to it. I have found that some companies will promise things, put it in the contract, and then you still have to pull teeth to get the things promised. Also, my recruiter always returned my calls quickly.

GOOD LUCK!
