Hello all. Just trying to see if there are any other students waiting to see if they have been asked to interview for a spot in the WSU CoN for fall 2011. I know that interviews will take place two Saturdays next month but have no idea when the school sends out notices to interview. If you are a current student in the program I would love to pick your brain about the school itself. Best of luck to all on ultimately getting into the program.

I've applied to WSU:Tri-Cities and work with two other applicants for the Fall 2011 class and we're always asking each other if we've heard anything yet. So far, nothing! And it's March 31...we were told we'd hear back towards the end of March or beginning of April. The waiting is just horrible! Wish the process was quicker. Even if you get the interview...crossed fingers...you have to wait to hear back a month later if you're accepted.

I've also heard different stories about how you get notified. Some say you get a phone call if they want to interview you and a letter if you're denied...and others say you get a letter either way. Hopefully we hear back soon. GOOD LUCK THOMAS!!!

Josh

Hello.

I did get a letter for an interview on Wednesday this week so I am extremely excited that I have made it this far. The waiting was indeed horrible but our advisors finally sent out an email informing us that letters would be in the mail the last week of March and then again when the letters actually went out. That made going to the mailbox everyday less of a dramatic experience. I'm not sure if your acceptance letters will come from Spokane but if so there were some people here as of yesterday that had not received their letters but they have been sent out and I hope yours is on its way to you as we speak! Thanks for the well wishes and GOOD LUCK TO YOU JOSH :)

Hi - I received a letter requesting an interview today. Does anyone know how many people typically apply to the WSU BSN program each year, how many they ask for interview and how many they accept each year? I applied to the WSU Tri-Cities campus for Fall '11 entry. Do applicants have to interview in-person on the WSU campus or can the interview be by phone for out-of-state applicants? I'm asking because I'm from So Cal. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Congrats on your interview! Your best bet to get the answer to your interview location question would be to contact:

Linda Miller

Academic Advisor

(509) 372-7202

West 263C

email address can be found at http://www.tricity.wsu.edu/nursing/bsn.html

Your interview letter should have specific details concerning the location and time of your interview so if you have any further questions I would definitely call the number above or contact the number provided in your letter. All of the info I've gathered so far relates specifically to the Spokane Campus and there isn't a ton of info concerning the extension campuses other that what is presented on their respective websites. I wish I could be of more help and hope things work out for the best.

My interview is scheduled for the 23rd at 1:30 pm. I haven't confirmed yet if I will attend though. Do you know what percent of applicants are invited for an interview? I'm debating the costs of the airfare to Spokane, WA since I don't want to shell out alot of money for airfare only to get rejected right after.

Historically the college has accepted about a third of qualified applicants. With this being the case I would say just over a third who apply are given interviews. Seeing that you have an interview I would think you would have to totally bomb it to be rejected now. Congrats on getting this far

Hey 22flowers

I also applied for the WSU-TC Fall 2011 program and have an interview this Saturday. I know that the Tri-Cities have 20 spots available for the Fall enrollment and then they do the same process again for Spring enrollment. I don't know how many have applied this year, but I do have a few friends who were not accepted for the interview portion. I know that the Spokane program accepts quite a bit more each year...I want to say 90, but I'm not entirely sure on that. I do know the local ADN program here in the Tri-cities had over 300 applicants for 50 sports and it's very competitive. I know the interviews have to be in person, thankfully it's only a 2.5 hour drive from the Tri-Cities to Spokane. I do know a few people who have had the interview in the past and have not been accepted. Still a roll of the dice I'm sure for you. What made you apply for the Tri-Cities campus? So Cal is so nice year round...gonna visit in June =)

It's great to chat with another applicant!

I also got a letter for an interview the last possible day and was getting quite nervous about it all. My interview is for the 23rd and I am coming from out of town also. I'm quite certain that all interviews are done in person so I'd really recommend making plans to head to Spokane.

I'm am curious as well about the amount of people getting interviews that get accepted. Being a transfer student really makes things tough as I've been told by the advisors that they only accept 8-14 transfer students per class for 90 slots. I'm fairly knowledgeable about Spokane, although the CoN not as much and haven't a clue about the interview process itself. If you have any questions about Spokane or surrounding area, I'd be more than willing to answer any question I can.

Mr. Wright, I hope you're assumptions of getting rejected are correct cause I'd hate to do the traveling as well to get shut down. Lets all keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. I'd love to see all of us here showing up on day one for class

Hello Robert and congrats on getting an interview. Maybe I'll run into you on the 23rd. Just curious...is the Amn in your screen name short for Airman as in the Air Force?

I'm sure we have all worked hard to make it this far and hope we all make it as well. Good luck to those interviewing tomorrow. I hope you are able to share word that your interviews went well.

Thomas,

That it is, I served four years for money to go to school and am now reeling in the benefits :) I had a wonderful time in and am glad I chose the route I did. Can I ask of your curiosity?
