I went through the VU LPN program last year. I was going to go into the RN 2nd year but decided to move. The RN program there is EXCELLENT. I love the professors there. They know me from being in the same building and I was involved in the student development comittee with the RN students. You've made a wise choice in going there!
I'm glad to hear it. I am an older student and very scared that I won't do well. I already have one BS degree in Education so this is the 2nd time around for me. Where did you move to??
Dont worry about the age factor. There's my friend, she went through it with her mother. They were both 4.0 students. Don't ask me how they did it! Anyways, they said the oldest person they had there was 65 I believe, and she passed. I am moving to Carbondale, IL. I'm just waiting for my license for Illinois. :)
:) :rotfl: Good Luck and again it was nice to hear encouraging words from someone :chuckle

I am an LPN graduate of Vincennes, Jasper Center. Our oldest student was a guy, 55 (accountant) and our youngest was just out of high school. Wonderful professors, we all received a lot of different clinical experiences, and we all passed the NCLEX first try.
Alice was also one of my instructors. I had her for OB clinicals. We also had David, who isn't there any longer and Dee, I don't know if she is. I now work in home health/hospice (1 year this month) after one and a half years in LTC and a very very short stint when I first graduated at Memorial. UGH.
Hey Shorty! Glad to see you are still in Vincennes!! Are you in transitions now or are you done?? I just finished my Med Surg Final with Mrs. Lafferty it was difficult.....I had Litherland for peds last 8 weeks. I just want to get next semester over with and be done !:balloons: :penguin:
Hey!
Actually, I would be done but I had to drop out for personal reasons. I'm taking courses right now to get my BSN through ISU. I wish you luck through all of it. Med/Surg was tough, I'll tell you that right now. So, you'd better get ready to study!!!!!
