Hello Everyone,
I'm just curious if anyone is in the San Antonio area or in Texas trying to get into a San Antonio nursing program. My goal is to get into UT-Health Science Center at San Antonio. I apply at the end of this summer for the spring '07 semester. I'm SOOO nervous! I'm wondering where I stand as far as my GPA is concerned. If my classes go as planned this summer, I should a 3.6-3.7 when I apply. But I've heard that this school is extremely competitive, so now I'm really worried!:barf01:

Hey JollyJenny. I'm a student at UTHSCSA. I'm going into my 3rd semester. I think when I started (Fall 2005) the cutoff was like 3.55 or something. I think this is the first year they are doing interviews for the applicants as well as GPA. I didn't have to do that. I just registered on here so I don't know how to PM yet, but if you want any info PM me or post on here. Good luck.

I am a student at San Antonio College, also trying to get into UT-Health Science Center or ADN program at SAC. I am a little behind you and still have a few more pre-requisites to take. Have you read the new admission policy for UT? It's even harder to get in now...We may have to take an entrance exam and other things like # of hours volunteering in Health care facility, ethnicity, and being bilingual (Spanish) they even care about what education your family members have, I think it's insane!!!!!! .... I will be ready to apply to the 2 year program at SAC this spring. My GPA is 3.76 but I still have to take A&P2, nutriiton, statistics, Growth and Development. If I pull A's it will go up a little more. Good luck and keep in touch. Maybe we can support each other

Hi, I just applied for the nursing program at UTHSC-SA. I feel so lost. I am wondering about the test. What will we be tested on? This is the first I heard of volunteering in a medical field. Help! Does anyone know what I should expect or need to prepare for?
