Hi! I just graduated with my BSN in May 2015. I am currently working as an RN on a Cardiac IMC/telemetry unit in MD and will have one year's experience in July 2016. I am seriously considering applying to NP school, either for FNP or AGNP programs, but not Acute Care NP. I live in Maryland and none of the NP schools around here really appeal to me. UM Baltimore and Salisbury are DNP programs for NP, which does not necessarily appeal to me (longer length of study- up to 5 years, and more student loans). Bowie and Coppin State do not appeal to me either, and Hopkins is extraordinarily expensive!
So, I was wondering if anybody can personally recommend any NP schools in the surrounding areas? I have been looking at Wilmington University in DE, University of DE, York College of PA, Widener. I know programs are competitive. My undergrad GPA was 3.5 and I am obtaining ACLS and other certifications to boost my resume. I would like to start school this fall 2016. I am grateful for everybody's and anybody's advice and opinions!

Drexel, UPenn, Penn State, VCU (VA), Pitt, Weidener, York Hospital (Wellspan), just to name a few. I did Drexel for BSN and I though it was a good program. They have a good graduate program as well. I know NP's or CRNA's from all of the schools I listed. There are online programs as well such as Walden but I'm not entirely sure I would want to do all of my NP training online.
