Any 2017 PRAIRIE STATE COLLEGE HOPEFULS?

Hi, I am really worried about the point system to get into PrairieStateCollege nursing program. Is anyone else out there applying for this years nursing entry? Have you guys heard of the lowest or maybe highest points that you need to get in? Thank you & goodluck to you all.

Specializes in pediatrics; PICU; NICU.

I just want to wish you all the best. I graduated from Prairie State 39 years ago this week. It's a great program.

Same goes for me, this is my first time applying for nursing school as well. I'm just praying that we all get accepted .. as of next year if I don't get accepted I'll apply to more than one school.

Nope not yet they just sent them off Monday so hopefully by the end of the week ... I'm so worried lol

Hey everyone, I'm waiting on a letter as well. I emailed Nicole a couple weeks back and she, said they are basing it off of rank score and they are accepting the top 95 applicants. When I registered for the Hesi, the lady said it was about 250 taking the test. I got an 80 on the hesi but I have not completed anatomy 2 and micro so that might hurt me but we will see. Wishing everyone the best of luck and it's Wednesday May 3rd and I haven't received anything yet, hopefully I'll get something by Friday!

Hello everyone. I am anxiously waiting on my letter as well. I actually contacted the admission office Tuesday May 2nd to inquire when would the acceptance letters go out and they replied this week. They did not provide a specific day of the week. I will definitely keep you guys posted. Today is Wednesday May 3rd. No letter as of yet. Hoping to be one of the top 95. I will be completing A&P II on the 19th of this month and I plan to take Micro in the summer.

250 applicants sounds a lot better than 400. Hopefully the letters are coming soon. For me I am currently enrolled in micro and a&p2. I will be done with all my preReq officially in May so if I don't get in I won't have anything else to take!! ☹️ Fingers crossed for everyone!!

As far as pre req's, I'm done. I got a 91 on the HESI. I didn't really start thinking of another plan until recently. This is the only program I applied to due to affordability and convenience as Prairie State is close to where I live.
