I actually posted this question under the Speciality section, but I wanted to see if any fellow Pennsylvania nurses can guide me into the right direction.... I wanted to ask if anyone knows of any Perioperative Nurse Intern/Residency Programs in the Philly area. I have applied to Einstein Hospital which posted this position several weeks ago. i was wondering if anyone has heard anything back from them yet?
Also does anyone know of any Hospitals that are Recruiting for Perioperative Nursing Interns... Thanks for any advice, i do appreciate it.:)

We had orientation with Jefferson last weekend for clinicals and when they gave us the HR person's info we were told to check in May for postings and that going in to OR as a new grad requires a year-long commitment, so I would check with them in May.
Also, my class was sent scholarship info from the UPenn Health System and the position they wanted a 4-year commitment to was in OR nursing, so maybe check with them too.

Hi Hiddencat.... I will definitely check with Jefferson in May and I can definitely commit to this requirement. I absolutely want to get into the OR thru a Perioperative Program... I know it's intense and I am indeed up for the challange... I have a BSN from Drexel University & received my Pa LIC......
Also, I will check with UPenn as well... I can commit to 4yr, etc... i am not picking esp with something as having the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and tools to function in the OR. ( My Dream Job:)).
Maybe we can stay in touch?... Please let me know... Again, I appreciate the info soooooooo very much;)
