I hope to start traveling in mid January. I have 6 years experience in general pediatrics, and I have never done anything else (aside from volunteering at a clinic for adults). Without having ICU experience, will there be enough peds floor positions to keep me traveling without huge gaps?
Thanks for any input.

I also have started to look into travel nursing. I have 6 years of inpatient peds experience, have my CPN, PALS, chemo certified, and charge nurse experience. I just contacted a travel nurse company in the past week. Wondering what kind of info you have found?

YES! There are many general pediatrics travel assignments. Be aware highest needs are during the winter season. I have traveled for the last 3 years and have not had any problems securing a gen peds position. The first one was at a Navajo reservation outpatient clinic but the others have all been in free standing pediatric hospitals. Your chemo certification will open many more doors. Good luck to both of you. I'm open to any questions.
