I am new to this sight and would like to know if there are any nurses out there with myasthenia gravis? The disease is so rare and I know of no one close by with it to talk to. I had to go out on disability in October 2006 with it and wound up getting Social Security Disability. I was an ICU nurse for 29 years and miss it terribly. :heartbeat

My sister had it. She passed away last year. She had alot of other complications, she was very obese. I almost didn't reply because I didn't want to bring you down. Everyone is different, and Claudia had it for many years before it was diagnosed. Also she had many environmental and food allergies as well. I pray you will be okay. If you want to message me please feel free, it is still hard to believe that she is gone. But let me tell you, the people on All Nurses, are wonderful, they held my hand when the going got rough. I will never forget all the kindness and support shown to me. God Bless you, and may he hold you in the palm of his hand.:redpinkhe

I have a professor who has MG, was diagnosed at 10 yo. She works nationally with MG issues, so I'd be happy to pass your contact info on to her. Please private message me if you'd like for me to make that contact.
God bless you in your struggle. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks for your concern and I will keep you in mind also.
