Hi, I'm new to the forum, and plan to enter the Williston State College satellite LPN program the fall of 2007, and the RN program fall 2008. I was just wondering if any Minot nurses actually completed this program or were accepted. I'm wondering how competitive the admission is. Also, does anyone know the starting salary for RNs in Minot? Thanks!

Hello, I'm not from minot but I got into the dakota nursing program in fall of 2006 and had no problems getting in. The program is very intense so I would advise you to take as many of generals as possible before appying to the nursing program it makes things more simple. :groupwelcome:
Thank you so much for responding! I'll be taking a few of the general classes this online in the winter and summer before the fall session starts, so hopefully that will help. Again, thanks for the reply, they were right, it is quiet in N. Dakota! :chuckle

Hello,
I,m new here, I jsut got accepted to RN program from williston, pending the ATI testing. Am and LPN now, starting RN wage at TMC is 20.23/hr,,, not sure they will allow for lpn experience, I was told that was the base regardless of prior experience. ...

Welcome to the Dakota Nursing Program. That program last year had 100% pass rates on the NCLEX-RN . Many Minot nurses have graduated from that program and are employed.
You will all do well.
