i've been to the ff. hospitals:
rizal medical center
quirino memorial medical center
east ave medical center
philippine heart center
national kidney institute
among them, only east avenue accepts volunteer nurses but they will start accepting new volunteers next month. are there any other hospitals that accept volunteers ASAP?

Just so that you are aware, these so-called volunteer programs are not acceptable as work experience for any other country; they are merely training programs and considered as such.

most of the hospitals are on freeze hiring so some are offering voluteer programs that you will have to pay!!:devil:and some are just going to train you but no promise of employment.. better be enrolled in a program that will absorb you afterwards, so it can be considered as an experience rather spend alot of money on plain trainings and volunteers. :specs:

yes i am aware of that. i just want to do some volunteer/training work instead of staying home and being a bum.
That is fine and your decision to make; as long as you are aware that you will not be receiving any credit for it.
And if you truly are interested in working as an RN, then perhaps you should be looking at other countries to get experience that will actually count and where you may learn some new skills as well.
Best of luck to you.

I think that you should head to google and start searching. better yet, why not pay a visit to POEA?

thanks vanessa 81. I am also looking for hospitals that accept volunteer nurses but haven't found any. I will try to inquire at EAMC. I just want myself to be exposed in a hospital setting instead of doing nothing,. Since there's no hiring.
Getting exposed to the hospital setting this way will not help you at all in terms of getting work in any other country, nor with other facilities in your country.
Just wanted to make sure that you are aware of this.
my classmate had her volunteer at EAMC.. she said that they were only allowed to do VS taking! you cant medicate, perform treatments, and do charting.. :clown:
Once again, the volunteer is not considered staff so is not able to do many of the procedures that the RN does and another reason why it does not count as experience in most other countries.
sir, may i ask: are you referring to saudi moh and the middle east, or some offers in new zealand? those are the only open ones. i checked, others require experience.
