We did a 30 day PPS on a patient on 9/25/10 with the 2.0 software and obtained a RUG III for that assessment. Our billing company is saying that they need a RUG IV score for the days in October that the 30day PPS covered. How do we obtain the RUG IV score of an assessment that was completed using MDS 2.0??Any info would be appreciated!! Thank you in advace!! 0 Likes
Talino Specializes in ER CCU MICU SICU LTC/SNF. Nov 10, 2010 You should have completed a 30-day MDS 3.0 during the first week of October as stated in this post. Since you haven't, the default rate will be applied for the remainder of the 30-day payment period beginning Oct 1st. 0 Likes
