2008 Objectives

* Summarize research and evaluation findings related to school nursing practice.

* Describe federal, state, territorial, tribal or local efforts to promote health or prevent disease and disability in the school community.

* Discuss collaborative practices to support prevention policies, programs, or campaigns (physical activity, healthy diet, medical screenings, and healthy choices).

* Explain prevention strategies that use multidisciplinary approaches for addressing wellness issues facing school communities.

* Facilitate interaction on a professional and social level.

All NEW Active classification members (those who joined between April 1, 2007 and March 31, 2008, 4:00 p.m. EST) are automatically eligible for the $1,500 scholarship for Annual Conference expenses. Tell your colleagues who are not a member of NASN to join before the deadline passes by! The winner will be notified by the NASN President in April.
