Congrats to all.....I passed today!! I had handwashing (yay!), nail care & ROM on the left shoulder, elbow, wrist & fingers. I do know that I made at least 1 mistake but it was with regard to the charting - I forgot my initials - DUH! And can anyone tell me if you wear gloves to perform nail care? I didnt but I think that it was because my patient was my mom and I just wouldnt normally wear gloves with her! Happy Holidays!!!

ok, so I know its only been like a week since I became certified as a CNA, but I've applied to like about 15 places, with no luck. I do have an interview next week, but I doubt I'll get the job. :-( any interview advice?

Settly down... It's Holiday season. Everyone is on vacation and no one is getting hired anywhere till after the first of the year... everyone who would train you is taking time off for the holidays (or fighting for time off anyway). Enjoy the holidays with your family and hit the streets January 5th looking for work.

Also, your attitude comes out in your interview and while "I doubt I'll get the job" attitude may soften the blow if you don't get the job, It also lessens the chance that you will actually get the job. One question I always ask in an interview is "when can I start?! Congrats on passing your test and good luck on the job hunt.

This question goes out to hiring personel. How important is it to recieve a thank you note from people who apply either in person or online? I've applied to atleast 10 employers so far (all online applications, and I plan to send them all a thank you card in the mail.

I passed my missouri CNA course on Dec.28th. Woo-hoo.

Now if I can only be accepted into the ADN for RN here in March I will be very happy. Congrats to others who have recently obtained their CNA certificate.

I passed my CNA exam on January 4th. It was actually pretty easy, it was just nervewracking wondering if I had forgotten something.

I start a job in home health tomorrow and I will start in the nursing program in August.

Congrats on passing your state exam! What skills were you tested on? I'm wondering if you were hired as a home health aide with or with your CHHA diploma? If so, in what state is that?
