Hey All,
I have been an RN for 13 years. My experience varies from ICU/CCU/ ER/TELE/Med Surg/ Ortho/ Home Health/ Hospice and even management.
I am in the Bay Area in need of a job. I am looking for a part time or per diem.
Any information would be appreciated as to who is hiring at this time.
Thanks
mlok

If you are interested in relocating, there are tons of jobs in San Diego, CA for EXPERIENCED nurses. Cost of living is also lower.

There are so many jobs for experience RNs in the Bay Area, check out the websites of the hospitals. Unsure which part of the Bay Area you['re looking at. It depends on how far you may want to travel. For example if you live in Hayward, I wouldn't suggest working in San Jose because of the high traffic on 880 and it would take about 1 1/2-2 hours to drive 25 miles south. If you're in the Peninsula, and say you live in Menlo Park, driving down to San Jose wouldn't be so bad. If you're in San Francisco, driving as far south as Foster City probably wouldn't be as bad as if you were going north. If you tell me where you're living at, I can help direct you better. Good Luck
Hey Cubanita,
I too am Cuban! Thanks for responding to my post. I am in the Richomond/Pinole area.
I am also willing to travel within a reasonable distance of course like you say within reason ..due to traffic.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Oh you're that far north in the East Bay. The furthest south I'd go would probably be Hayward, which you will find St. Rose Hospital. You can also try Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley. Those are two hospitals that I know for sure would be easy to get to. But the furthest south I'd go would be Hayward. Traffic is horendous there on 880 but it also depends on the time of day that you're working. You may be able to get by going to Walnut Creek or Concord because you'd be going against traffic. Just watch for the change of freeways at the tunnel. Hard to explain! Viva Cuba :-)
