I am a Job seeking graduate and I am wondering if clinicals or preceptorship count as hospital experience. "I have ____ hours of experience".   I have been assuming they don't but I am really eager to get hired, but it has been difficult.

No they do not.. Some new grads will list their clinical hours in certain specialties under the education portion. I personally don't see a reason to list all clinicals as all RNs participate in the same clinical rotations and just about the same number of hours regardless of where one went to school.

That being said... remember that everyone starts as a new graduate nurse with ZERO experience.  Just keep applying and networking, you'll find your job.
