i dont know what state you are applying to, but i applied in ohio and graduated in may. all my classmates had their ATTs within a week of graduation except for me. turns out, the BON had "not received" some of my necessary information, even though it had been sent certified and was shown as received (aka... they lost it and arent admitting it) so my app was put on hold. it took me a week of calling nearly 10 times a day to actually speak to a person to find this info out. i called, i emailed and i faxed until i found out what the problem was. then i had to have the info resent, and i didnt trust them after this so i continued calling for another 4 days until i spoke to a person who said the info was missing still. i ended up basically demanding the name and direct phone number of the person who was holding things up... and after threatening to fill her mailbox if i didnt get results... surprise, i had my ATT within 3 hours.
it was a HUGE pain to deal with, but at this point, i would suggest that you just keep calling until you get to speak to a real person to find out what the status is. that way you know if you need to resend something because if its anything like my case, you will be sitting around waiting until the cows come home because there is no other way to find out if info is missing or there is another problem.
call call call! thats my advice based on experience.

OH NO, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!!!! I graduated May 3rd and have yet to receive my ATT as well! I have called and spoken to a live person, who verified that my application/information was received, but he did tell me that they have up until 30 days to review and deem me eligilbe (FL BON).
I plan on calling this morning to see what is going on at this point - I am at exactly 3 weeks yesterday!!!!!! It is my understanding that Pearson sends out the ATT once they receive eligibility (electronically) from the BON, so I hope to get some good news today. Some other classmates of mine have received theirs - some last week!
Good luck to you - with receiving your ATT and tackling the NCLEX

That is so frustrating! Ours took a long time also and the BON wasn't especially helpful either. What I would do is find out if your class mates have gotten theirs yet. Good luck.

I graduated on May 20 and also have not received my ATT yet. After sending in my application on the 21st, I got a letter 10 days letter telling me that they received my application and upon recepit of all required documentation, they will determine my eligibility.
Can we/should we sign up for pearsonvue before receiving eligibility from the state? (I'm in NY) Because I know that pearsonvue is the one who gives out the ATTs..

I believe that Personvue sends out the ATT ONLY when they get authorization from the State BON that you are applying to.
I got an email yesterday as an "acknowledgement of receipt of NCLEX exam registration" and it said right on it THIS IS NOT YOUR AUTHORIZATION TO TEST (ATT)
It goes on to read that if I don't receive my ATT within 4 wks of receipt of the email to call NCLEX candidate services.
so I am sitting here waiting (im)patiently for my ATT email! I want to get the test date scheduled so I can schedule my much needed vacation!!
I sent in my License application to my State BON and my NCLEX application paperwork via snail mail a week ago today. I figure that since the NCLEX paperwork went to Minnosota and they got it within one week, that my State BON MUST have gotten the paperwork that the school sent at least a week ago.
I would suggest you call. NCLEX should have at least responded that they received your exam registration paperwork..I would think
Hello everyone:
I posted about 4 days ago that I had not received my ATT, but guess what was in inbox at 11am today?? MY ATT:yeah:!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was ecstatic. I had been calling the BON and Pearson for like days 4 or 5 straight, including yesterday and finally I have received it!!!
I have scheduled my exam for Monday, July 14th...so let the hardcore studying begin...FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GL to everyone out there...take care!!!
So 6 days after paying $200, I GOT MY ATT! I'm scheduled to test July 10. Good luck to everyone!!!
I'm getting a tad annoyed and peeved! We sent in our applications to the NCLEX people and to the State BON on the same day (6.7.08) on 6.12.08 we all received our notice of acknowlegment of our applications to NCLEX. Now here it is 13 days from when we sent out our paperwork and we (the whole class) are STILL waiting for our ATT's!! I want to schedule my darn NCLEX test so I can then plan my much needed and long overdue vacation! I can't do that until I get a date. I don't want to book a vacation for me and my family only to find out the only date (within a reasonable amount of time) will fall when I am due to be on vacation!!! GRRRRR!!
Our Director said we should have our ATT's within 2 wks of sending them, told us to call her if we didn't get it. You can bet I'll be on the horn tomorrow telling her, HEY! Where's that ATT?? Did YOU do the work on YOUR end by sending out our transcripts to the State BON like YOU were supposed to do??!!
I have zero patience at times, can you tell:D

Sorry, but the state BON needs to evaluate your file before they will issue the okay for you to sit for the exam. Just because it was sent to them, it does not mean that it was received on that very same day, nor that all of them have been reviewed as well.
How do you even know if the state actually received them in the first place? For anything that is sent in to any licensing body, it is always a two week wait for it to be added into a file, not sure who told you that it would be instantly.
The person that receives and processes the mail is not the one that gives approval for someone to sit for the exam. And it is two weeks from when it was received, not two weeks from when it went into the mail.
I can totally relate. Its so frustrating especially after all you have been through to earn the right to take the NCLEX. It was possibly the longest month of my entire life. No fun graduating in the spring with every other nursing student in the state, I'm afraid. Hang in there!
