Hey! I am starting that program in the fall and am very excited! But also I'm just as anxious as you probably haha
Hi, thank you for replying and congratulations!!. Do you know how the uniform issue is? do we only wear uniforms on clinical days or do we wear them everyday?.
Also do u have any info about the clinical sites or just anything at all about the program??

Does anyone know if it is ok to just turn in the shot record & not the sheet from ACC too??!!
Yes....i think its either you turn in the sheet stamped or signed by a HCP or copies of the shot record. i plan on turning in both though just to be on the safe side.
Alrighty thanks, thats what i thought too!

pls, what were your act scores and gpa, i want to apply this for spring 2013
RNlola 1: All I know is what was in the acceptance packet which is not a lot lol but I would guess we wear the uniforms even at class. I just can't wait for orientation to learn more!
jesus01: I think my ACT score was 27 overall and my GPA was around 3.2 to 3.3. I assume what got me accepted was that I had already spent 2 years at the University of Houston completing pre-reqs and core classes so I had all non-nursing classes completed when I applied.
My ACT was a 45 for reading & english portion, i have a 3.5 GPA but that is overall. i am not sure what my GPA was for just nursing classes. i also have all of the pre reqs finished.
I just read somewhere that uniforms are only for clinicals.
And for the reading and english combined total, which I think is what they look at was 58. (30 for reading and 28 for english).
Agiusti and Jehowell91: did u take dosage and the second class before applying. i got 42 for both reading and english, i dont know if that is good enough or i should take it again, for my overall gpa is 3.8 but i still have to take microbiology and engl 1302 class, i am currently taking engl 1301, i know i will have A in it. i have A's in both anatomy 1 and 2. i heard that Alvin takes just 30 students for spring.please any advice?
I did not take dosage, and if you think you could do significantly better on the ACT then take it again but some tests I don't retake simply because I don't think it'll make a big difference. You have an excellant gpa and A's in both anatomy classes are way better than what I had so I wouldn't worry too much. You should be fine if you keep up the grades! Just make sure to finish as many non-nursing classes as you can before entering the program so you can focus on the nursing classes, plus I think they like that.
