I was placed on an alternate list for a Accelerated BSN program. I've no idea what my chances are. Any thoughts or experiences with this process?
Thanks!!

Like you said, statistics: if they accept 30 people and you are the number one alternate, probably pretty good chances.
If they select 30 and you are number 15, hmmm, probably not so good.
Are you able to find out how many people are admitted and what number you are on the alternate list?
Good luck.

I was an alternate and a month after receiving my "acceptance" letter I got a call from the nursing office because there was a spot available for me :). The ADN program I applied to accept only 50 people. We're starting this spring semester and until now 3 o 4 alternates have been accepted in the program...
So be positive and don't give up :)
