Anyone successful complete lpn to RN through allegany college or in the nursing program how do you view your experience.
@MmawhiteCongrats on your acceptance! It's easy to get nervous for the unknown. My best advice...stay on top of your assignments. Don't wait until the last moment to complete them. Transitions (to me) is just a way to prepare you for the actual courses. Also, depending upon the semester that you will move into after transitions, start looking NOW for your clinical facilities. When you get the paperwork turned in STAY on top of the professors to complete what is necessary....you have to advocate for yourself. Just go with the flow. You made it this far so you will do great!
@nursenomeds1I just completed 4th semester. I dislike the grading system, especially the fact that the grade is based solely on tests! I am a terrible test taker...I believe it's important to learn how to study versus what to study if that makes sense? From what I gather, most nursing programs have similar grading systems. I joined the curriculum committee to voice my concerns-I don't know how useful it was, but that's important for students to know that they can get their concerns heard that route! Best of luck to you!
@MoM23LVN Thanks a lot. Can I have your email address. Mine is [email protected]. Will like to ask you some questions. Thanks

@MoM23LVNHow do we need to study?
@Neon8rn2BI wish I could help on the studying...I struggled the entire time. 😞 I was given a lot of pointers by the professor but it's almost like she "ran out" of suggestions.
Make sure you are understanding the pathophysiology of the disease/disorder being studied. The professors will ask you "why" a million and one times...if you don't understand the basics, then you likely will not connect the dots of the disease. Problem is, they don't teach the pathophysiology. I used a lot of YouTube-mainly Nurse Sarah and Simple Nursing.
