UAB PRN pay

U.S.A. Alabama

Published

Hey all! Just got a tentative offer for the VA in CVICU in Birmingham. I've been an ER nurse for two years and would like to keep up my ER skills. Interested in working PRN at UAB. Does anyone know the general pay for RNs with 2 years of experience and then the pay for PRN?

Thanks in advance!

(Also any tips on where to live close to UAB would be nice...I'm from out of state and know nothing and no one!)

I have no idea how much UAB pays prn nurses, but the cost of living in Alabama is pretty cheap. I hope you get the VA job (wish I could!) and good luck to you.

I can tell you, UAB (and Children’s) pay the least of the hospitals in the area. There is no flexi incentive/bonus at UAB, so you’ll be making only about $24 or so an hour. New grads make about $23 an hour there.
