I'm interested in the starting pay rates at st.Vincent's Birmingham and st.Vincent's east if available for the position of pt care tech, operating room assistant , RN .

St Vincent's Birmingham starting pay (New Grad) is $20.99, shift dif is between $4-5 for evening/night shift.

Do you work in the OR? If so, did you just apply to the OR job listing, or is it some type of residency program? Also, do they require a BSN or will they accept an ADN new grad?

I don't work there yet , but I have a job offer pending graduation and passing of the nclex which is in 9 weeks .I'm also doing my preceptorship there in the OR .I applied for a tech position , but I guess it made more sense for me to be in the RN position since I'm close to graduation and yes they hire ADN new grads .

Thanks for the info! My goal is to working the OR right out of graduations as well. I'm currently in school, and don't graduate until next summer, but I'm thinking ahead and scoping out my options.
