Commute to NWSCC or commute to CCC? (Oh please advise, if you can)

Hello all,

(I've searched for past threads about NWSCC, and there is roughly ONE THREAD PER YEAR. )

My family is moving to North AL. My husband is working in Muscle Shoals. I won't be working, at the moment. We have a little one starting Kindergarden in fall. We can afford places in Muscle Shoals more than Decatur.

Originally, I had looked at Calhoun Community College for school, but my husband suggested Northwest-Shoals CC since it would centralize the family. ((as opposed to Daddy here , and little one over yonder --^))

However, if I am reading the application packet correctly, NWSCC ADN program is only in the Phil Campbell campus, which is in the backwoods of I-don't-know-where.

The commutes are NWSCC (31.8mi) or CCC (47.2mi). The obvious first choice might be NWSCC, I don't know how comfortable I am with the location of the campus. Does anyone know about NWSCC's Phil Campbell campus?

I would greatly appreciate anything anyone knows...

Hello, I attended NWSCC in Phil Campbell, Al. , graduated the nursing program, and I have been a RN for 7 years now. I can honestly say it was a great experience for me. I also went to and graduated from Bevill State Community college in Hamilton, Al. in a unrelated field. I think they also have the RN program now there. I can personally say that both colleges are great colleges. I can personally say that if I was in your shoes I would attend NWSCC, I hear GREAT Nurses come from there, LOL.--Misty--MAS-R.N.
