Air Force Nurse Pay

Published

Do AF Nurses get any extra "special" stipend (pay) a month or a yearly bonus for being in? Sort of like the Doctors do...

Thanks

Hello, I am a senior in high school looking to have a career as a critical care nurse in the air force. If you time would you be able to talk? Just sharing information on what will happen once I graduate from high school and how the process is, going to a ROTC college or is going straight in an option? Thank you

I was a direct commission after nursing school- meaning no ROTC; however, if I did it over again I would do ROTC bc that pays for your undergrad degree. The loan repayment with direct commission was about 70 grand less than I needed to pay my loans off.

Yeah, ROTC is the best option. Active duty loan repayment for health professionals in the Air Force often only covers $40,000 in loans minus tax liability (so really only about $27,000 if you have exactly $40,000 in debt).
