I have been staff for the whole three years I have been a nurse. I have been thinking of going agency full time because of the money. My husband carries our insurance and I can get a short term disablity policy elsewhere for not that much.I have life insurance policy I pay for through another company. I know you dont get time off paid, I would have to "bank" my own. Pretty much all I get now at work benefit wise is STD, LTD, PTO. I would make $15 more an hour agency! My phone is ringing each day with agency calling me for this. I am an ED nurse too. All help is greatly apprieciated!

I vote for agency. I am an ED RN and agency. Loving it!!!! I control my own work days and shifts pretty much. I just pick whatever shifts and days I am willing to work. No asking boss for vacation. Unlimited vacation time if I wanted to. Don't have to deal with politics so much as am not permanent in their hospital. Pay is good enough for me. So am thumbs up for agency.
