IC in the Mid-Atlantic states

  1. I am preparing to become an Independent Contractor. I have everything ready, the contract, business name ( possibly for future staff) LLC, etc. The only thing that is stopping me is the bill rate to the hospital. I am hearing different numbers. The facility that I am going to start with has a lot of agency. The one unit I have been on has 13-14 agency nurse alone. Most of them contracted. It is a revolving door. They have crisis rates for their own staff that is very high. I am finding that the billing rate is a big industry secret. I have seen an IC rate a few years back at 93/hr and as low as 69/hr. I have worked at this facility and they know me and my work ethic. I don't want to sell myself short, yet don't want to go over the normal. Any information would be great.
