continuing education

Agency nursing does pay well, but the nursing agency does not provide efficient continuing education. The initial, mandatory testing process for each nurse; (Icu, med.-surg., ER, etc) is not enough to make sure that each nurse remains competent and up-to-date on the latest interventions.

Good news!! Intelistaf does. I have worked for them for a couple of years and they have an excellent Continuing Education program. Check their website @ Good luck!! How many courses did you take last year?

i don't know who you are working for or if you did agency work, but I have always had continuing education paid for by the agency.................... or even the hospital where I was assigned to. I actually probably have more continuing education credits than most other nurses. Even living in Bangkok, I still manage to get over 150 hours per year. I keep up on anything and everything...............
