AF interview, Chief Nurse

Published

Hi guys!! I have a question for anyone who went Air Force! I have an interview with the CN on August 12 for Air Force. Does anyone have any tips/advice? I also have a consultant interview by phone with a PNP consultant. Does anyone know what to expect with that? Please let me know and thank you!

Specializes in Adult Critical Care.

For the chief nurse: Be able to articulate why you want to join the military. What are your long term goals and why will the Air Force help you in achieving them? Be able to articulate your family care plan should you be deployed for 6 months.

For the consultant: Be able to explain in detail the most challenging patient that you have taken care of. Hopefully this is a peds patient if you're applying for peds NP.

For the Chief Nurse, be able to think critically, creatively if needed. You may be presented a scenario and asked how to respond.
