Advice for returning student, military spouse

Published

In 2008/09 I took the majority of my pre reqs (english, algebra, psych, a&p 1&2, med term, soc, speech, chem, and 2 fine arts) My husband joined the military in 08, we moved overseas, had a few kids and now I am looking at going back, attempting to finally finish and hopefully end up going to nursing school. Since it has been so many years, am I basically going to have to redo all my classes or just the science ones again?

We will be in Alaska for another 20 months and won't know here we will be stationed next for at least a year, so I won't be able to look at the specific nursing school req. Any advice on what to do now? What pre reqs are a safe bet and their experience when it came to returning to school and losing credits. Thanks

Most programs require sciences to be no older than 5 years, so yes, you'll have to retake. Other non science is up to individual school. Check the local schools to find their policies
