Texas Service Center Tracker for I-140

World Immigration

Published

Please feel free to post here the date when your I-140 petitions were filed and are handled by this Service Center.

Hopefully, this thread would serve as a tracker or updater on how long I-140 petitions are being approved by this Service Center.

Note: This Service Center is notably much faster than Nebraska Service Center in processing I-140 petitions.

You may post your case status (SRC-xxxx), when it was filed and your Priority Date (PD) if known.

Thank you.

Again all it is saying is receipt notices on when they received I140 does not say that they are processing them. If you look at Nebraska service dates they are only processing I140 for Oct 2006. Whereas on Texas there is no mention on where they are on processing I140

The update is for the initial data entry and issuing of receipt notices for applications and petitions received. All other processing updates and status of applications will have to be checked individually.

still no mentioned as to the I-140 approval timeline.

i received my notice of approval my |I140 was file april 9 2007 and it was approved last september 20, 2007 texas service center

now we can more or less speculate as to the approval timeline of I-140...thanks dave for the update and best of luck and you are a step ahead of those who have not received their approval yet....

USCIS had received my case in the first week of May and I got my approval last week on the 21st of Sept, so I guess we can assume that the processing time is somewhere around four and half to five months.

Furthermore the processing times were updated twice in August, the last one towards the end of August (although the date of update was still maintained around 15th) so maybe we can expect another update this week.

Can you check on the dates you have present as not sure how agency can refile in Feb 07 if your first file file was cancelled Aug 07? Dates do not correspond.

There is nothing you can do if waiting for approval except wait. A few have recently posted that it took 5-6 months to get approval from Texas. Do you have any reciept numbers from the agency on when they filed?

My I-140 receipt came from Texas & I just went to look for their processing times (I was convinced I'd be Nebraska as so far not much else has gone my way) now I'm depressed again - I hope it really is just an omission & not an ominous sign that they are so far behind they daren't even tell us!!:lol2:

THe update for the weekly progress dated Sept. 28. is out:

Excerpt:

"*California Service Center and Vermont Service Center are currently assisting in data entry of employment-based I-485 and related forms (I-140, I-765, and I-131) received at Texas Service Center between the dates of 7/28 and 8/8. As a result, some applicants may receive receipt notices from a service center different than the one they originally applied to."

The TSC processing times have been updated, now showing I-140 processing times.

I would just like to ask what's the difference of Schedule A Nurses and skilled worker/professional in the table presented for I-140 update. (in my receipt notice, the section was skilled worker/professional)
