If nothing on website you really need to contact them yourself and find out what is happening with your application

hello!

i just want to inquire something, i sent my application to vermont for my NCLEX exam that was about 7 months ago and yet till now i didnt recieve any package coming from them. Where shall i follow up for this matter? Any idea from anybody pls help.

God bless & Merry Xmas!

babes

There is no such thing as an application for the NCLEX exam, it just does not exist and you will not find one anywhere. You applied for licensure as an RN in the state of VT, and nothing more than that. There is not even a mention of that exam anywhere on the documents or forms that you submitted to them.

If it has been that long, do you even know that your application was received by them? Chances are that it never made it there in the first place, suggest that you contact them. There is no package that you receive from them, only letters or e-mails.

hi,

i am from india and came to us on visitor visa and gave nclex exam for california board and i cleared nclex exam but they gave me the letter which mention that i need to provide my ssn (social security number) to get my license. i don't have my ssn as i am visitor here but i read in this forum that vermont is issuing license without ssn. could someone please let me know what is the procedure to transfer score in vermont and get license?

thanks,

vandana

check out the sticky titled california for initial licensure

will not make any difference as with retrogression you will not be able to change your status in the us and work.

I have cleared NCLEX - RN exam from California board of registered nurse. currently I am in USA on visitor visa and I would like to get either Green Card or work permit, Currently I am unable to get Green Card because of backlog. Could someone please help me who can help me in getting H1 -B visa that is Work permit visa? does any body know about any employer who are ready to file H1 visa for nurse?

I really appreciate your help.

For bedside nurse there are not H1b visas available and much has been written on this forum recently regarding this, please take the time to read. Also with H1b can not file until April, usually gone in hours and can't start work until October if lucky to get it and no way to be able to stay in the US whilst being processed. I think the best thing you can do is return home and start CP processing. Many nurses are caught up in retrogression

If you are from Australia and hold an Australian passport, then you may qualify for the E-3 visa which is a treaty visa similar to the one called the TN Visa for nurses from Canada and Mexico. That usually needs to be applied for while you are actually in your country, you may wish to check with the immigration officials here about it.

But be aware that you must possess the Visa Screen Certificate and have it in hand before an employer can submit for this visa for you. It also cannot be done immediately like the TN Visa so you may not be able to remain in the US while it is being processed.

It would be best if you ask VT directly but most who applied there said that they were indeed required one. If you are born in the Phil. and still holds a Filipino Citizenship, there are no legal impediments for PRC not to let you take it.

Please update on us on Ms. Swenson's reply.

if you have working experience back in philippines, then i would put it. if i remembered it right, i include mine 4-5yrs ago. my work experience back in P.I. was recognized by my hospital where i currently work. good luck to you. i hope you decide to work here in VT. theres only about 3-4 filipinos i know here in the hospital i worked.

hi atlas18. im a new member here and i was wondering what i would put in the

I have practiced nursing as defined in 26 V.S.A. 1576, for at least (check the appropriate statement):

120 days (960 hours) in the last 5 years or 50 days (400 hours) in the last 2 years

question in the Vermont application form? I'm a newly registered nurse here in the Philippines and have no working experience yet. can i leave it blank? or do i have to write something on it? hoping for replys and thanks in advanced.

God bless!

Title of thread edited since there is no way to apply directly for the NCLERX exam, only application is for licensure as an RN, and there is no mention of the NCLEX exam on the form.

VT license is only good for two years, same as most other states. They will not renew your license without a SSN#.

It will become inactive if you do not renew it or are unable to renew it by the time that is expires. When you do get a SSN#, you will just need to submit it to them and submit the payment to them to get it renewed.

i'm just curious, what can happen if i won't be able to work in vermont within 2 years due to the retrogression? if my license expires, can i still renew it even after 5 years? or, can i renew it even if i'm in the Philiipines?
