Advice on landing an interview, job, and ....

Published

I am a new grad from CA. I got my BSN, and have a BS in Health Science-Business Administration. I have my RN licenses and various cents like BLS, acls, pals, NRP, ECG & pharmacology, iV therapy, and another one I received from San Francisco general's assertiveness and safety training. Im speak spanish, italian, and of course english. I have done numerous volunteer experience as a medical volunteer. I don't have work experience in the medical field. I have applied to over 100 positions in the last month. I have followed on the ones out of state. And still working on following up on the ones here. Just need to go meet with the managers (advice please). I have been rejected from 15+ positions.

Any advice, opinions, or suggestions! All are welcomed.

Wow! Your qualifications are impressive. It's unfortunate that you are currently living in the epicenter of no-jobs-for-new-grads territory. You're probably going to have to relocate to get your career started. It doesn't have to be forever, just a couple of years to get over that new grad obstacle.

I don't think that your chances will improve by meeting with managers. They have to comply with the hiring rules established by their Human Resources department & for the vast majority of organizations this means online applications are the only way into the job pipeline.

Sending you good MOJO for your job hunt!

I have applied to out of state and still nothing.. So I'm starting to feel like is it me? Am I saying something wrong in my résumé and cover letter? (I have had multiple career counselor overview them, and they say they are great the way they are).

Also, how do you explain to hospitals that are out of state that I am willing to endorse my license over once the there is a for sure position in place, because finances.
