Advice to get in to Women & children's health

How can I better my chances of getting into the L&D or pediatrics specialty? I am a new grad working in behavioral health for 6 months now. I feel limited in my skills and ready for change. Please help me. I'm also from the NYC area.

Ge a CDL-Class B because If an employer has a pediatric bus program or women's health, they will always in need somebody with that license type. To get what they need they will work with you on getting what you want. 

Otherwise, build contacts and any training that an employer does not have to pay for will increase your chances.
