It seems most pre-nursing students want to be in hospitals, but I would really like to be a physician's office nurse when I get my ASN. I like the small community, and I would like to be home nights and holidays with my kids since my husband is a cop and is always working odd hours. Also, physician's offices have the highest projected job growth for RNs. Any advice for getting noticed and hired? I haven't seen any advice for this area!

Why not make a list of the local physician offices in your area and start networking with some of them? If you start building relationships now, they may be more likely to keep you in mind when they need someone...or will point you in the direction of another office who may be looking.
Though not to put you off, but from what I've seen and heard, many physician offices prefer to hire LPN/LVNs and MAs over RNs because the other two are cheaper to hire than a RN. This is not to say it's impossible for you to get a job in there...but keep that in mind.
