Advice: Am I ready?

Published

Hi, I've done Hurst review live and I've studied for a week now and I'm still not sure if I'm ready tO take nclex. I started doing Saunders questions from the cd that comes with the q and a book and I'm scoring in the low 70's. Haven't done the hurst q reviews but will start today I'm scheduled to take nclex feb. 2nd. Should I reschedule or not?

Based on what i have read from here 70% is not bad, I would do the Hurst q to compare. you know your strength and weakness. Don't reschedule if you are getting 70% in your practice q....take it.

Goodluck

I have done one Hurst Q review and I got a 72.8%. Do y'all think I have a chance at passing NCLEX? Did anyone else make a similar score in the Q review and pass??? What is a good Hurst Q review score to pass NCLEX? This is my first time taking NCLEX and I really want to pass.

I don't think it's about your percentage doing a test, it's about how much information you have. So, keep doing those reviews, and answer as much questions as possible... write down the facts, and read them 2-3 days before your test.

Hi, I am not trying to scare you but I took Hurst Review too and its great explaining the content and very helpful. I took all 6 q&a of Hurst review and was between 65-73% except 2nd one which was 61%. I took my nclex 3 days ago and failed :(. I felt strong when it came to content area on NCLEX but it came to priority and SATA Hurst wasn't helpful for me. Hurst q&a is no where close to NCLEX. I took couple Saunder test aswell where i scored 75% and 78%, but Saunders was wayyyy easy compared to NCLEX too. I heard and after reading 100's of post and research La Charity and Kaplan book are the closest to NCLEX type questions. I plan on retaking it after 45 days again with Kaplan review and La Charity. Hopefully, it helps.

Again not trying to scare you but this was my experience.

What about ati? Has anyone taken that approach and passed?

Anyone??? Any advice to passing this beast would be helpful at this point.

Anyone??? Any advice to passing this beast would be helpful at this point. Pray as if you have not studied , and study as if you have not prayed. We will beat the beast!!!!!!!!

I just found the link u asked for, and have copied and past on my tread for you.

Does anyone know of a book or site that has alot of select all apply questions? I will be taking Nclex for my 3rd time in March and I really want to pass.... Im using saunders, and Lacharity now.. Thaks

@Brenda try using Saunders in study mode and practicing their SATA questions. If I'm correct I think they have SATA questions. Hope this helPs

I'm scheduled to take NCLEX-RN the same day as you. I'm nervous as well, and taking lots of practice tests using ATI (something our school used throughout). I also have the Saunders book though have not used it as much. I'd also like to hear from others who may have already passed (congrats!) what kind of scores they were getting on their PRACTICE tests to help us know if we are on the right track.
