Thinking outside the box: making more money as an APRN

  1. There is the usual topics about the highest salary with the lowest cost of living, but I think that is done to death.

Then there are the cash clinics...

What else have you folks done to add some kind of cash multiplier with your APRN?

Serving as an advisor for np students. typically it is reviewing their work once a week and doing a site visit. Not a ton of money, but also different and not too time consuming.

I made $140k this year in two positions. Pain management in hospital setting (fee for service) and home wound care (paid per visit).

Please see my post regarding fee for service precautions in this same section.

I'm curious, is the work you do in wound care more fitting of an APRN or an RN? Do you mind describing? Thanks!
