Adult health care

Ok so I am panicking a bit.Sugical roataion starts in AHC! where we are assigned our very own patient to care for as far as nursing plans, meds etc. In dry labs we have done foleys and straight caths as well as trach care, suctioning etc. i work as an EMT/ER tech and am comfortable starting IVs etc. BUT never on a busy surgical floor with a patient I am totally responsible for. Next week its two and by the end of semester 3-4. Will i get the hang of it.I feel unsure and the worse part is doing thee preclinical work-ups the night before .We find out who our pats are then pull their charts with labs, neds, history etc and then we are to plan care forthe next day. Im good in the Er but willing to admit I am freaking out a bit here.ANY advice?
