I am wanting to apply to nursing school, but I'm worried about my prob/stats grade, it's a C. All my sciences and other classes are As, I'm also a paramedic. (But there's no medic to rn bridge programs around me so I'm not sure if my license is factored into admission.) Any other students or RNs that were admitted with a low math grade?

They only look at the biology grades ap 1&2. I wouldn't sweat the prob and stats. The math is basic algebra in the nursing program. I know this post is old but good luck and congrats if you're already in the program!

Just curious what your outcome was. I'm an LPN and would love to do the LPN-RN bridge at Walters State but, I'm terrified of math. I did decent in math during LPN school but, stressed a lot. I'm terrified to even go take the Compass placement test...
I'm in the fourth semester and I love it! I did horrible in math throughout school even high school. I dreaded math at the college level. Yes I had to do remediation but heck I was 30yrs old and starting college so that's understandable. I made A's in my college level math. I took finite which allows you to graduate with your associates degree. I thought I would struggle but I studied all that I could and even utilized the math tutor. I bought a book cliff notes basic math and algebra and it seemed to help me study for the math for the compass test. Once in the program you'll do basic drug dose calculations and there is even an additional class you can take to help with that.

Hello. I applied to Walters State recently and I am nervous about getting into the program. I applied to Lincoln Memorial as well, but due to its affordability, I am hoping to secure a seat with Walters State. I'm curious, did you get in the first time you applied or were you on a waiting list? I made B's and an A in all science courses and Prob & Statistics. Hope it was enough!!
