Admission/Acceptance to Georgia Regents/Georgia Health Sciences

Published

Hello! I just joined and couldn't find any other thread that had anything about admission stats or anything for Georgia Regents (formerly Georgia Health Sciences) and I am so nervous about getting into the BSN program, I applied with my first choice in Athens, and second as Augusta.. I have a 3.7 and got an 86 on the TEAS V and was wondering if anyone knew if that was competitive or what your stats were?!

HELLPPPPPPP :nailbiting:

Took about seven days

I am wanting to buy a new computer before we start. What kind are ya'll using?

I just went Saturday and bought a new Lenovo U310 ultrabook. The only catch was that I had to buy an external DVD drive for it to meet the requirements but it is super light and compact for transport.

I use a MacBook.

For those who are still waiting like me: talked to a *person in administration: not only do they have no idea when the next round is going out, but also a new one: they are "physically moving into another building this week" and this was another reason for continue delays. It appears that the May 1 deadline they told all of us has no importance.

GREAT!! And I thought we will know sometime this week.

@hahi92 I know. It's really unbelievable. If I have waited all this time (and missed scholarship deadlines, late on Financial aid, etc...) all to be told no I am gonna be one unhappy camper. I'm so intrigued about WHAT exactly the hold up is. Are they using the pony express? Do they have serious IT problems and can't get information processed? Serious administration problems? It's very worrisome all around. I FEEL like they really don't care about what they are putting us through.

If anyone is still having issues with pulse we will not be using that we will be using pounce and that should be up and operating in may until then if you have any financial aid or admissions questions I have been told we are to call them directly.

I don't know what the case is but it's just annoying now. It's been almost 2 months and yet no answer. If we do get accepted then I don't think we will have much time to do all those blood tests and etc. I'm really hoping they send out the letters sometime this week. This is the only school I applied too.

For me it's been well over three months. I had all my stuff in the very day the app cycle opened on jan 9. I'm screwed in several ways already because of this. I have to register for classes for my backup school (private, 16,000 per year) in 2 days.

What!!!! You submitted your application way early. I think you should have known by now. That's messed up from their side. I really hope you do get in. What's your backup school?

Yes. Had the whole thing submitted the morning of Jan. 9. Had everything ready well before the app even opened. The school is Truett-McConnell in Cleveland. Private, have to take 18 hours of bible classes this summer, the HRSA scholarship (due on may 1) doesn't even cover it because it is a brand new program. I literally put all my eggs in GRU's basket, feels like one of the worst mistakes of my life. I don't know what I'm going to do. I've been on the phone all morning crying with TMC financial aid, i barely qualify for anything. I missed the acceptance deadlines for other schools I got into months ago, believing what GRU kept saying (which was that we would know a longtime ago). Literally sick to my stomach.
