Accepted into University of Michigan AG-ACNP DNP Program!!

Published

I just received my acceptance letter the other day for the University of Michigan's adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner DNP program in Ann Arbor! I was wondering if anyone else has been accepted that puruses all nurses and if anyone has been through the program/their experience. I'm very excited/nervous and would love to connect with other people going into the program!

I just got accepted as well! I am not going straight into the DNP program for now, however. I may transition into the DNP at some point, but for now just plan on doing the MSN portion. Congrats! I'm really looking forward to classes starting. I'm right there with ya feeling nervous, too!

Congratulations! I think we will have all of the same classes to begin with! Do you live close to campus currently?

Congrats! I have a co-worker who is nearly done with the ACNP program (MSN) down in Ann Arbor and he loves it. He said the first semester is a killer, but after that, it gets better when you start doing more hands-on stuff. He said Advanced Pharm was the toughest course.

Good luck to you :D

Congrats to you, too! I think all of the classes are the same until about the end, where you can branch off and start the DNP classes. I live and work in Jackson, its about a 45 minute drive. At one of the info sessions, they said we will probably only meet once a week (for a looong day) for classes. Are you working as a nurse/plan on working thru the program? I work full time in ICU and really want to keep working for as a long as i can! I'm planning on doing the program part-time.

Ahh I keep hearing everyone say pharm is the worst! Thanks for your input!! :)

I work full time in Royal Oak and was hoping to keep working through the program too. I really want to know how many days a week we will have classes/clinical! I've heard of most people working full time up until the end when clinicals get heavier.

Hello there! Congrats on getting selected! I have my interview next week and just wondering if you have any pointers/suggestions for any one going thru the interview process. Thanks :)

How long was it between your interview and your acceptance letter? I interviewed for the MSN AGACNP program today. Thanks.
