Accelerated BSN Hunter College Fall 2021 NLN PAX

Published

Hey I figured I'd start a thread for people applying to the ABSN program at Hunter for Fall 2021. I found threads from previous years but none for this cycle. I'm wondering how other people are doing on their NLN/PAX exam because I'm already starting to get anxious! I have a 3.82 cumulative GPA and got a 167 on the PAX.

Hi! That is an amazing score; may I ask how you studied?

Thanks!! It all depends on this year’s applicants though. The red NLN/PAX book was a lifesaver. I took every single practice test in there. After I took one, I’d highlight the questions I got wrong and go spend more time on those topics until I got through all of the tests. For vocab I used lists people had made on quizlet. I think at the end of the day though a lot of it is luck of the draw with the questions. Good luck!!

Thank you so much! ?

Hey guys!

I just took the exam and got 141, which is a lot lower than I was hoping for. My GPA is 3.89 and now I’m not sure if I can get in considering that the college accepts only 30 students for this program and it is very competitive.

Congrats! I think your GPA gives you a solid chance!

Thanks for the optimistic comment ? Gonna have to keep my fingers crossed till May

We’re in it together! Why does it take till freaking May. I heard back from 3 of the other 4 schools I applied to already

Your score is amazing and the GPA is also high so I’m sure you’ll get accepted to the program.
Maybe they’re waiting for students’ final GPA since many are finishing pre-requisite courses this Spring.

Thanks so much, I kicked my own *** studying for it. I feel good about it, but it’s still nerve-wracking because you just never know. 30 seats ??

Hi, would anyone mind answering a question I have about the exam? Are calculators allowed for the math, and if so, is there an electronic calculator available, or are we responsible for a physical calculator?

I think I read there is an electronic one, but I’m not sure because I used my own physical calculator
