I applied for the AO BSN program at FAU for Spring 2017. I just wanted to start a general discussion for anyone in the same boat so we could bounce questions and/or concerns off of one another.

Hey everyone! I am excited to say that I also applied to FAU Accelerated BSN for Spring 2017! I submitted my NursingCAS August 29th, they have received all of my transcripts as of Sept 13th. So I am waiting for the Verification step, and then will be good to go! How is the application process going for everyone else? I am surprised this thread does not have more activity!
Alexis, I am also waiting for the verification process. Have you met anyone who has been in the program currently/previously? Are you a graduate of FAU for your first degree?
I think this year there will be fewer applicants than past years. In the information sessions I saw a lot of people with one or two classes left and were told they could not apply because this time they want all the classes to be completed before applying.

Hi everyone,
How long does the verification process take? I'm getting a little nervous because I submitted my application pretty late.
Thanks!

I'm in the same boat! One of my transcripts was received by them about 3 weeks ago and it's still being verified. They say it can take up to 4 weeks.
I wonder if they are still able to verify after the application is due? I'm a little confused.
Actually all my transcripts have been received but I thought I saw something that your application has to be reviewed before it is sent to FAU?
I'm not sure either. I think I saw on the FAU website somewhere that as long as all the transcripts are at least received by nursingCAS, FAU will be able to access them.
Yeah I think you are correct. I emailed CAS and this was the response I got -
Thank you for contacting NursingCAS! The verification process will continue
even after specific school deadlines.
It is up to the school themselves whether or not they would like to consider
application that were verified after the deadline. You will have to contact the
program directly for more information.
Does anyone know how many applicants they have this year?
No idea. But they told me they will interview 80 and 40 or 44 will be admitted.
