Hi everyone! I’m new here! I’m looking to bounce ideas off to see if I can gain better clarity with regards to choosing my ABSN program! For starters, I’ve gotten into multiple ones, but am narrowing my choices to CSU Northridge in California and Northeastern University in Boston.
Some things I wanted to inquire about in my consideration of selecting schools are:
1) Is it more advantageous to attend a California school, especially if I’m looking to work there for a while? Is it more challenging in terms of coming back to California for employment if I go out of state for school?
2) I’ve been trying to scour all nurses to see what others have said about both schools before settling on a decision, but haven’t seen anything. If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be greatly appreciated ?
3) When picking a school, is it important to consider what schools consider to be passing or failing? For example, if a school says passing is a C vs passing score being a B instead.
Those are my current concerns right now, but I’d be so appreciative for any insight or feedback the community might be able to provide.
Thanks so much everyone!
