About to throw up! HELP ME!

Published

Hello hello!

I just got back from my second attempt at the nclex-rn.

75 questions and I am pretty sure I failed. I had 76 questions last time so it all seems too familiar.

Has anyone ever heard of someone not getting any SATA's?!?

I didn't have any so I am sure I bombed it. I felt like the questions were all too easy, even though I obviously was getting them wrong. I only had a few priority and absolutely no med calculations but tons of meds I've never heard of?

Please give me some encouragement to take this thing a third time. I am so down about it and wonder if I should change professions. Ugh how did I graduate from nursing school and I can't pass this exam?

HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

Thanks you so so so much for all of the support! Thank you also to hugmebaby and silverdragon :)

Prayers are appreciated! I was so down and discouraged after failing the first time and so determined to pass this time. Today was the big day I've been waiting for, my family has been waiting for, and I just feel as if I bombed it.

I will try to stay positive and take your advice!! And I will let you know once I find something out.

Thanks again :)

I hope you pass this time...I know the feeling of failing that exam...Good luck...let us know the result...:wink2:

((( Hugs ))) Yes, you can still pass even without any SATA and you can pass without any med math questions. The NCLEX is random so you could get anything or be tested on only a few items. All that matters is how many you get right or wrong. I wish you the best. Try to keep yourself busy while you wait for the results.

:tinkbll:GOOD LUCK!!!

:hngon:HANG IN THERE!!!!

:flwrhrts:Positive thoughts and wishes.

You have definitely earned the right to take a break. Preparing for the boards one time is stressful, so I can't even imagine preparing for them twice. But know that you went in there and gave it all you got, and spend the next couple of days before you receive your results staying busy. There is no evidence that you can't pass the exam, you just haven't passed it yet. You will! If not this time, then next time! But I have a good feeling about this time!

There seems to be no way to predict if you passed or failed. All my fellow students who took the exam thought they failed after taking the NCLEX. However, they all passed. I just took the exam on Tuesday and also feel uncertain. I knew (or could narrow down to 2 answers) many of the questions but I also guessed on many. My other classmates felt the same way so for now I am just waiting and worrying....and obsessively reading other peoples posts, googling, and checking the CA BRN constantly. I wish my state participated in quick results but it seems that you either wait 3-4 days to find out on the BRN website or you hear by mail that you failed. Although one my classmates waited 2 weeks to find out that she passed. The waiting is the hardest part and almost as nerve-racking as taking the actual test. Good luck to you.

I know how you feel. I just walked in the door from testing. Failed the 1st time with 75 questions. This time it shut off again at 75 which leaves a REALLY bad taste in my mouth.

I also had tons of medications, and even the ones I have heard of or knew their category I still couldnt figure out the answer. NO math questions which is like the easiest thing for me....of course. I had lots of questions asking what I would do first or who I would see first. Had several about educational conferences and what info would be correct/incorrect in teaching the whatever topic.

I dont think I wont to even find out with the fast answer option ... why waste another 10.00 or whatever the cost is. I just dont think it went well. Top it off, I am 38 wks preg as of tomorrow, already dilating, been contracting no less due to stress of this test....have 2 other kids at home ages 5 and almost 2, and a husband that will be deploying at the beginning of the yr. So when will I have time to study for a 3rd attempt????

Hopefully we both passed bc I dont think I can take this again.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Serena I felt like I failed my second attempt also when it stopped at 75, but I passed. There's a good chance you did also.

Never give up hope. Many who have sat for the nclex always think they have failed-but eventually pass.Best of luck and let's know f the good news when it comes.
