About How long does it take for the CALIFORNIA BRN to show results ?

...I have heard that pearson vue offers quick results for everyone EXCEPT folks here in cali ??!! i wonder why that is....As it is im going nuts here..I tested on friday..and we all know the BRN does not update on weekends...so i have barely ate anything, slept mabye 6 hours this weekend..have no fingernails left....and my gut feels like someone punched me...Like i said before i had 215 questions and everyday i feel like i didnt pass...in fact im so sure i didnt, i mailed off the re-test application and the 75 dollars ..so hopefully i can get a "jump" on things so i can test again right at 45 days...no paperwork hold up..

most people on this site are worried if they passed at 75 ?? man i would give my left arm if i had 75 questions..in my experiences, i have never even (personally) heard of anyone failing at 75..

Now..i think getting all 265 is better than what i got at 215...at 265 its like 50/50 ..i guess you "fool" the computer or something like that..but me at 215...uggghhhh

so anyway, here i am in front of the computer..with one browser opened up to the Perm lisc verif page..and my new best friend "Mr. refresh button"

California is not the only state that does not offer the 48-hour quick results option. Several other states do not offer it, either.

The woman at the testing center told me it had something to do with the huge volume of test takers here in CA. Don't fret. I saw my name on the BRN website within 3 days.

A few do not participate in quick results. I heard that Ca like to check their own which is why sometimes it takes longer. Some get their results by letter before they see their name on the website and foreign nurses with no SSN have to wait several weeks for their results as will not show on site until they have a SSN which they can't get until in the US with a valid work permit

.....I guess we ar enot a "quick result" state, but if i tested last friday..(i know that they dont update on the wknds) but shouldnt i see my name on the "perm lis ver" If i passed ?..i figured by end of today mabye tommorrow ?? am i to hopeful ??

At a guess would say yes. Ca doesn't really follow anything and some posted they got their results in days where others say they didn't see their name on site but received letter saying passed. Sorry to say but is a case of wait and see what happens. Good luck

I took my test last Thursday and my license was posted on the BRN site today! So maybe yours will post tomorrow? Good luck! I'm sure you passed! ;)

I took mine on thursday the 24th and still nothing...then again the site hasnt yet updated for the date of today so we shall see. For me, it is likely a tie up on my transcripts from my school, apparently they are notorious for sending them in really late, hence delaying results.

Mine shut off at 75, I am crossing my fingers, and will cross my toes for you too!! Let us know when you find out ;)

i know how you feel,,,,so did u take the test the same day as lochness?,,i took mine the 17th,,,still nothing n the site,,,so im thinking that i failed,,just have to wait for the letter to make it official =( officially failed that is,,, =( im so sad,,,Ive been reading previous posts and almost all said that they saw their names at the CA BON site in 3 days,,those that didnt unfortunately...did not pass and the letter arrived in 2 wks,,,,,so looks like that's my case right?..im reaching my 2nd week so anytime soon that big envelope should arrive,,,, =( i dont have any drive to study anymore,,,Im tired...Hope Its a different story for you,,I hope you'll see your name tom....let me know,,good luck

Still nothing. Although I noticed the last update on the BON site is the 28th, now its the 30th and still no updates!

I also found out that my school had a delay in the transcripts because of an unusually high volume of requests so they sent them out late, could also be the reason for the hold up! I am still hopeful, the BON has only updated 3 times since taking my exam, so we'll see!!

..Yeah, iwent friday 25th,

man that BRN website just does not update !! its been on the 28th for 3 days now..

I wake up at like 4 am and it says "our records are being updated"...so i think.."good"..then i check back about an hour later and it still says "last update jan 28"

its like the person doing it is like smiling saying "psych !!" haha

Well this probably won't make you feel any better..... but, I took the exam on the 24th with two of my friends. Two of us got the good news on Tuesday and the third is still waiting...... I'm positive she passed, I don't know why it takes so long. Anyway, it may help you to know that there are people still waiting that took it before you did. Please let us know if yours posts and I'll let you know when my friend's posts. I'm sure it will be good news all around!! ;)
