?? About Effexor & Klonopin

Well, I am off the celexa, just didn't seem to do anything for me. I am now going to try Effexor and the Dr gave me a script for Klonopin to help with the anxiety/panic attacks. Just wondering if anyone had any kind of experience with either of these drugs. I have tried SOOOOO many and have not had any success yet. I am wondering if I will ever find any pills that help me. Anyone have any sexual side effects with the effexor that are usually known to happen with anti depressants?? Any personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

Hi there!

I hope thigs will get well for you soon. i can only imagine how hard it is - i had some problems with severe anxiety before.

I only have very little experience with Effexor - i've seen some elderly female patients become VERY passionate ( if you now what I mean), which for me would be a plus lol

Effexor works really well for some ppl. It has a very short half-life and pretty intense discontinuation symptoms, so be careful not to miss a dose. Klonopin is great for anxiety, and it can help with some of the side effects you may have at the beginning. Are you taking it PRN? I remember reading Klonopin works better if taken steadily, but I couldn't tell you the source. Good luck, and hang in there!

Yes, I do understand. I hope you know I am not asking for any medical advice, I am currently under the care of my Dr. I just wanted to hear peoples opinions and experiences with either of these medications. It gets frustrating when you have tried so many and none seems to work. If you feel this is an inappopriate post I will understand if you chose to close it. Thanks for those who did respond. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!
