I recently registered for the 2019 AANP conference in Indianapolis. My employer allows me some CME funds and while I usually go to a neonatal specialty conference, I decided to branch out this year. There are some great maternal topics and I'm very curious about the policy-level stuff.
Anyone else planning to go, want to have a meetup?

Hello ANP's, can anyone here help me figure out what to do about joining associations?
I recently joined the AANP as a student member. Should I also join my state ANP association as well?
Or is one enough? Thank you :)!
I belong to several organizations including AANP. I also belong to my state's APRN organization as well as ANNA (American Nephrology Nurses Association), ENA (Emergency Nurses Association) and AACN (American Association of Critical Care Nurses).
They all provide journals and lots of electronic updates. As you get your first job and realize where your interests lie, you can then decide which ones to join. However, I recommend state APRN organizations always as they are your voice in your legislature.

So wonderful to meet BabyNP. She’s delightful and really enjoyed lunch.
Anyone else here in Indy?
awww, you too!!! I am only disappointed to hear that sirI is not pronounced "sir I" ? but "siri" lol. As I told trauma, I really do enjoy this site. I joined as a nursing student over 10 years ago and it has really helped me with my career path from nursing student to NNP.
You are awesome! So very nice meeting you.
