A 6 week old infant w/ PYLORIC STENOSIS Presentation- Pediatric Nurses, please HELP!

Published

Hello everyone,

I am a 4th semester RN student and doing my pediatrics rotation right now. I am going to do a presentation next Tuesday and the topic to be discussed is about a 6 week old infant with PYLORIC STENOSIS with focus on special feeding regime & effect on maternal role.

I need some help on the special feeding regime & effect on maternal role part.

What are the special feeding regime for infants with pyloric stenosis, pre-op & post-op?

For maternal role, I will discuss the inability to breastfeed/bottle feed which will decrease mom/baby bonding. Is there anything else besides this?

Thank you in advance! :heartbeat

I was typing up a whole bunch of things here for you... but i came across a link from a clinic that was also part of my pediatrics rotation here in Florida, we had 10 hospital and 4 clinics shifts....

so here you are, most of your questions should be answered here, I read it and it is good... Its written on a 6th grade level so it is understandable for the audience and parents
