Started my second semester of nursing school, and I have to say that I am slightly overwhelmed. Just printing out the beginning power points, schedule, and the study guide I did today for one chapter in one book (Out of three) took over 200 pages. I have three classes.
Who else is feeling overwhelmed? I'm sure we'll get through it, but still...my printer devoured a tree today. I feel a little guilty.

I am on my first semester and boy do they hit you with info hard and fast! I am noticing that I will be doing a lot of self teaching. Which is cool with me. I had to come home and nap today. I have so much info to print for clinical and classes. I came home and took a nap. That is how mentally exhausting it was. I am up now making my plan of attack for tomorrow in regards to printing and note preparation.

I'm waiting for the moment to feel overwhelmed. I'm beginning my second semester of nursing school in a few weeks and there's only been one class posted online, so I haven't seen anything regarding a syllabus for my other classes. In a sense I'm feeling overwhelmed because of the unknown... :-\

I don't print out power points, but I agree that second semester seems like it's gonna be insane. More so than first semester.

1. All laser printers can do duplex (2 sided) printing. Some will do it automatically. All other, you can do manually. Instructions should be in the printer manual. You print the even pages first, then take that stack out, flip it around per whatever the instructions say, put it back in the paper tray, smooth it out, and then you print the odd pages. When finished, you have a full stack of properly ordered pages that you don't have to sort. And you have cut paper use in half.
2. If you are printing on an inkjet, forget that except for color pages (that you NEED color for) and buy a laser.
3. Nursing classes are all going to be that same pace. You have to keep up, get on it, and stay on it, and keep reviewing the old stuff, too. You will have to recall and apply "old" knowledge all through the program.
